Management at Double Portion Logistics & Supply Ltd realizes that a healthy employee is a productive employee; and that a healthy employee is our wealth, we have thus allocated enough resources for the attainment of a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and all those we come into contact with. We encourage employees to actively participate to achieve this safe and healthy working environment. The objectives of our occupational health, safety and environment initiative include;

• Identify jobs with health and safety risks and take corrective measures
• Promote health and safety amongst our employees, clients, suppliers and all we come into contact with
• Provide information, guidelines and training on occupational health, safety and sound environmental practices
• Minimize waste by ensuring that operations are as efficient as possible and by promoting the recycling of all re-usable waste
• Comply with regional and national legislation with regard to health, safety and environmental practices and monitor prospective legislation in order to ensure that strategic implications are assessed early to ensure timely compliance
• To promote our workforce with “best practice” training, information, procedures, skills equipment and leadership to assist them in ensuring our business operations, at all times, reflect “best practice”
• To continually develop and improve our safety culture
• To work successfully with our supply chain in realizing significant and tangible safety performance improvement standards in all of our project appointments and undertakings
• To ensure our business operations do not cause risk to the health and safety of our employees or to others who may be affected by our business operations
• Comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements and with our clients' safety policy requirements and standards
• As far as is possible, to provide goods and services to our clients which do the least damage

Following the United Nations Convention on human rights comprising of 150 states, where our country Zambia is a member, we have found it obligatory for our company registered under the Zambian law to uphold certain basic human rights which promote respect, dignity and equality of rights among our peoples.

And as a company, we resolve to uphold the following:

1. All Double Portion Logistics & Supply Ltd employees shall not be subjected to any form of discrimination on the basis of gender or educational standard attained but that each shall enjoy necessary freedom, justice and peace.
2. All employees shall be free to express themselves for issues concerning the progression of the company.
3. Employees shall enjoy rights to seek medical attention when need arises and that the company shall respect any decision made by the medical practitioner concerning the health of an employee.
4. When an employee is not feeling well s/he shall not be forced to compulsory labour.
5. It is also a company policy not to entertain Child Labour with a view to manipulate them and give them meager day wages but that the company shall engage itself to employing men and women who are mature as prescribed in the Labour Law of the land.
6. It is the right of an employee to receive the service benefits when s/he leaves or stop work genuinely.
7. The company shall uphold employees' rights to privacy.
8. All disabled personnel working under Double Portion Logistics & Supply Ltd shall receive equal treatment and shall enjoy their respective rights as human beings.
9. Employee will enjoy the right to go on leave when s/he deems fit after working for a period recommended by management to warrant him/her leave.
10. The company shall adhere and uphold all such rights which will not bring infringement on the individual and which will also protect the integrity of the company.
